Charles w. Herbster receives The Omaha agribusiness 2018 leadership award.
Omaha, NE, March 19, 2018– The Omaha Agribusiness Club banquet held its annual banquet on the eve of National Agriculture Day, March 20, 2018. The event featured speakers Jody Lamp and Melody Dobson presenting excerpts from their most recent book, “A History of Nebraska Agriculture: A Life Worth Living.
The evening concluded with Charles W. Herbster receiving the 2018 Omaha Agribusiness Leadership Award in recognition of the work Charles has done to promote agriculture in the State of Nebraska.
Mr. Herbster received the award and talked about the attributes of integrity, faith, and passion for the people in his life and the community he serves. Mr. Herbster shared his appreciation for the many connections he has made through agriculture. He also recognized the guests that accompanied him for this event: First Lady – Sally Ganem, Former Governor – Dave Heineman, Michelle Keithley and Brandon Keithley.
Mr. Herbster concluded by saying he will continue to be a passionate advocate for agriculture and he hopes that we all can always give it our best each day and work to touch the lives we come in contact with every day.
The Omaha Agribusiness Club meets on a monthly basis and continues its tradition to make people aware of agricultural news happenings in our community. At the same time, it is the goal of the organization to raise funds and provide financial support to local organizations involved with continuing to the mission of promoting ag in our community.
