UNO Department of Economics Chair and Professor
In 2000, Professor Chris Decker graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School with a Ph.D. in Business Economics. He currently teaches several courses such as Microeconomics and Environmental Economics at the University of Nebraska Omaha. In addition, he serves as the Economics Department Chair and holds the Lucas Diamond Chair at UNO. Professor Decker has conducted many studies throughout his profession; his most recent include The Economic Impact of the Nebraska Business Development Center on the State of Nebraska and The Economic Contribution of Goodwill Industries, Inc. on the Omaha Metropolitan Statistical Area. Furthermore, you can find his academic work published in journals including, but not limited to, Ecological Economics, Review of Regional Studies, and Economic Inquiry.
